Terms of use
Last updated October 4, 2026
These terms apply to dec-iron.com (the “Site”) and the software that runs it, including its connection to QuickBooks Online (together, the “Service”). The Service is provided by The Balcony Company Inc. (“Dec-Iron”, “we”, “us”), 89 Lowe Avenue NW, Concord, NC 28027 · 704-750-0444 · sales@deciron.com. By using the Service you agree to these terms.
1. What the Service does
The Service lets customers configure and price Dec-Iron products, pull quotes, and place orders. When an order is placed, the Service creates the customer and the invoice in Dec-Iron's QuickBooks Online account, and QuickBooks emails the invoice. Payments made on that invoice are reported back to the order.
2. License
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to use the Service to price, quote and buy Dec-Iron products. You may not copy, resell, reverse-engineer, scrape or interfere with the Service, or use it for any unlawful purpose. The Site, its software, drawings, text and images belong to Dec-Iron.
3. Quotes and prices
Prices are calculated from the measurements and options you enter. A quote is valid for the period shown on it. Opening a quote's link re-prices it at that day's rates and freight. We may correct obvious errors before production begins.
4. Orders and payment
Your order is confirmed when you place it. You pay through the QuickBooks invoice we send, by ACH or by credit card; credit card payments include the card fee shown at checkout. A deposit starts production. The invoice lists the payment schedule (deposit, any progress payments, and the balance with its due date). Sales tax is added where the law requires it.
5. Measurements, drawings and approval
You are responsible for the measurements you provide. We send shop drawings for your approval, and fabrication starts only after you approve them. Custom products are not returnable, and the deposit is non-refundable once drawings are approved.
6. Shipping
Shipping and delivery follow the option you acknowledge at checkout (door-to-door delivery or terminal pick-up) and the conditions stated there.
7. Warranty
Products are covered by the Dec-Iron warranty published at dec-iron.com/warranty. Except for that warranty, the Service is provided “as is”, without other warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows.
8. QuickBooks Online connection
The Service connects only to Dec-Iron's own QuickBooks Online company, with the permissions Dec-Iron grants through Intuit. It uses that connection only to create and update customers, products and invoices, to send invoices, and to read the payments made on them. Connection credentials are stored encrypted. Dec-Iron can disconnect at any time from its admin page or from QuickBooks. We do not sell or share QuickBooks data with anyone. Use of QuickBooks is also subject to Intuit's own terms.
9. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, Dec-Iron is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from use of the Service, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the order concerned.
10. Privacy
How we handle your information is described in our Privacy policy.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina. Any dispute will be heard in the state or federal courts serving Cabarrus County, North Carolina.
12. Changes
We may update these terms. The new version is posted here with a new “last updated” date and applies from then on.
