Warranty

1. Definition of Lifetime

The Limited Lifetime Warranty remains valid for as long as Dec-Iron remains in business.

2. Definition of Product

This warranty covers iron items sold by TBC, excluding those marked "as is," on clearance, discounted due to defects, or given as compensation.

3. Filing Claims

All warranty claims must be submitted via email with accompanying photographs sufficient to allow TBC to determine warranty applicability and resolution.

4. Transportation

TBC insures products during transit to ensure undamaged arrival. Buyers should inspect upon receipt and immediately notify TBC of any transportation-related damage.

Damage options include: (a) filing directly with FedEx for repair reimbursement, typically processed within two months, or (b) requesting TBC's assistance with the claim.

For total loss, TBC provides replacement stock items or fabricates new ones. TBC will file a claim with FedEx for reimbursement, including any legitimate expenses the purchaser wishes to include. However, FedEx retains discretion over claim approvals.

FedEx may inspect or retrieve damaged items. Failure to retain products during claims processing may make the buyer responsible for full value.

Claims for labor costs, missed deadlines, fines, emotional distress, or similar losses are not covered.

Standard shipping excludes lift-gate or indoor delivery services. Customers arrange unloading using forklifts or manual crate dismantling. Lift-gate must be requested at purchase. Address change reconsignment fees are the customer's responsibility.

5. Registration

Warranty coverage requires proper installation. Customers must register the warranty by submitting photographs of the installed product, including close-ups verifying proper sealing in accordance with TBC's installation guidelines. Upon receipt, TBC confirms registration and posts images on its website.

6. Sealing Requirements

To prevent internal rust due to water intrusion, sealing the balcony is mandatory for warranty coverage.

7. Early Deterioration Prevention

Owners must maintain products, including regular cleaning to prevent clay stains resembling oxidation. Within three months of installation, the purchaser must monitor for scratches or paint defects and address them immediately.

Normal wear and surface scratches are not covered. Walking surfaces need epoxy paint, vinyl, or similar protection if exposed to foot traffic.

If rust appears within the warranty period from invoice or registration, TBC remedies it free. After warranty expiration, remediation costs 75% of standard rates plus materials. A one-year renewal applies if TBC repaints. Third-party repairs void coverage.

8. Powder Coating Finish and Warranty Coverage

TBC provides powder coating as standard, with these classifications:

• Standard Powder Coating: single-layer powder on cleaned surfaces, applicable only to aluminum and interior steel.
• Double Powder Coating: two layers — zinc-rich primer first, followed by the finish coat, each separately cured — applied to outdoor steel.
• Warranty terms remain identical regardless of application, except for "primer-only" finishes, where customers assume full final finish responsibility.

9. Extended Warranties

Extended warranty options are purchasable at sale and must be registered upon installation.

10. Welds Warranty

Welds are guaranteed for the lifetime of TBC's business under normal use.

11. Installation and Safety Warranty

TBC certifies products meet or exceed International Building Code standards for height, picket spacing, and 60 lb/sq ft live load capacity. However, structural integrity depends on proper installation. TBC supplies framing guidelines, but local engineers must approve supporting structures.

TBC does not guarantee or insure the quality of the wall or structure where the product is installed. Customers or contractors ensure structural soundness. TBC bears no liability for structural problems like water damage or termite infestation.

12. Satisfaction Guarantee

TBC ensures that the product delivered will closely resemble the product displayed online. Over time, minor design improvements may result in slight variations. Provided specifications will match or exceed final product quality.

13. Returns

Products incorrectly shipped by TBC may be returned and replaced at no cost. Defective or damaged products will be repaired or replaced at TBC's discretion. If irreparable, they will be replaced.

14. Custom-Made Products

Custom products are non-returnable.

15. Repairs by Others

For defective products needing repair, buyers provide digital damage images. TBC assesses damage and determines fair reimbursement based on regional welding or painting labor rates. TBC will select the repair contractor, and the purchaser must pay for services upfront and submit the bill to TBC for reimbursement.

16. Limitation of Liability

The Limited Lifetime Warranty provided by TBC is the sole warranty applicable to this product. It replaces all other warranties, express or implied, including merchantability and fitness claims. TBC assumes no additional liabilities unless written authorization exists.

The warranty excludes products damaged by accident, negligence, alteration, abuse, or misuse. Coverage is limited to products within the continental United States.
