Permit Help

Most cities ask for engineering before a balcony or a staircase goes up. We prepare the documents your building department expects, so your permit moves without delays.

Bolt-on balconies

The permitting help package is $150 per balcony design and size, paid now and credited toward the purchase of the balcony. It includes:

• the structural report for your balcony's size;
• a certificate of conformity;
• the balcony's spec sheet.

Need your permit first? Price your balcony with the instant balcony quote, then choose Pay only the permitting help package now in the cart. If your own structural engineer will stamp it, choose the structural report alone.

Floating stairs

The permitting help package is $350, paid in full with the order. It includes:

• drawings of your stair;
• the structural report and the reaction calculations;
• floor and wall recommendations;
• a certificate of conformity.

Price your stair with the floating stair quote and add the package in the cart, or buy it later with your quote number.
